How Gablevale works, and what it costs.
Do you vet the businesses listed?
We check one thing: that every business is an active company on the Companies House register. Its listing shows the company number, so you can look it up. We don't vet or rate the work. Ask for references and a written quote, and for any gas work check the engineer on the Gas Safe Register first.
Why only registered companies?
A registered company has a public record: its number, its registered office, its directors and its filed accounts. You can look it up before you let anyone into your home.
Why is there no street address?
Many small firms run from home, so we show the area they cover and the postcode district, never a street. The company record gives its registered office.
Is this a booking service?
No. We send you to the business's own website or phone. We don't take bookings, quotes or payments.
